If you want to enjoy one of the longest maritime avenues in Europe, you should cycle from Arrecife to Puerto del Carmen, a tourist area full of incredible golden sand beaches.
It is an easy route, due to its flatness, that makes a pleasant coastal stroll, ideal for a refreshing dip in the sea, enjoying the sun and crystal clear waters.
The distance is about 17 km.
You will start from Arrecife passing by Playa Honda, where the airport is located. Here you can take great pictures of planes flying at very low altitude.
Shortly afterwards you will finally reach the large beaches of Puerto del Carmen called Matagorda, Los Pocillos and Playa Grande and other smaller but charming beaches such as La Peñita and Playa Chica, as well as excellent places to enjoy a tapa and a beer by the sea.
